After a long week of work or a day full of stress, a relaxing bath is key to repair physical and emotional exhaustion . And it is that relaxing baths manage to isolate from the outside and, in addition, promote calm. Of course, you have to carry out some tasks to maximize its benefits, such as having specialized bath products and committing to having, at least, 30 minutes of rest without interruptions.

Whether in a tub or shower, the ideal is to use hot water, of course at a temperature that is comfortable and does not hurt the skin. Hot water not only helps relieve muscle pain, but also reduces mental fatigue, stimulates good blood circulation, decongests the respiratory system and helps eliminate toxins in the skin. All these benefits are enhanced by adding the most suitable essential oil for the moment. Of eucalyptus or mint to rest and help heal a cold, citrus to energize or lavender or rosemary to leave behind the anxiety.

Other elements will guarantee the success of this rest ritual: use soft and warm lighting (which is why candles are great allies); If you have a tub, place aromatic flower petals such as roses or leaves or twigs of the chosen essential oil ingredient in it and, as an important extra touch, pamper the skin with a soap made with essential oils

The latter can be done at home and, in itself, its preparation is relaxing. That is why we leave here a recipe to make a lavender artisan soap , although it can be substituted for the ingredient of choice.
